MATERIAL

knitted polyester, satin, palace satin and so on.

environment-protected, never fade, and
anti-ultraviolet. We can print full color and any
logo for you.
FEATHER SHAPEThese Feather Flag banners were designed to stay open, remain taught, and last. The highly flexible but sturdy `whip' is attached to the top of the pole and fed through the flag sleeve to the reinforced pocket at the top of the flag. This keeps the pole in place and prevents the top of the pole from tearing through. A reinforced, easy-to-use clip attaches the bottom of the flag to the stake or crossbase, keeping the flag secure and taught.
SINGLE VS. DOUBLE SIDEDFeather Flag banners are available single-sided and double-sided. With Single- sided Feather Flags, the printed image saturates through the material resulting in a mirror-image of your print on the back side (+95% saturation). Double-sided Feather Flags are printed on two separate pieces of fabric (standard print - not mirrored) and sewn together. Please keep in mind that our Flags are not 100% opaque. Single-sided flags last longer because they are lighter weight and fly better in the wind than our heavier double-sided flags, drawing more attention to your business.
PRINTING PROCESSOur Feather Flag banners use a unique dye-sublimation printing process that provides +95% ink saturation through the back side of the fabric. In addition, the artwork/background color is extended onto the flag sleeve, so both the front image and the back mirrored image extend from edge-to-edge. The dye -sublimation ensures vibrant colors and helps prevent against color fading.
BASE OPTIONSEach Feather Flag comes standard with a ground stake attachment to be used in soft ground such as grass or dirt. Additionally you can order our Cross Base and/or Weight Donut, which can be used on any solid ground, such as a sidewalk.
FEATHER FLAG TEMPLATESHave you already decided to how to design your flag? Below is the standard size of feather flags for your reference.
FEATHER FLAG POLE & WARRANTYOur specially designed all-aluminum pole comes with a 2-year conditional warranty when ordered as part of a single-sided Feather Flag set. Because single-sided flags are lighter weight and fly better in the wind, we do not offer our 2-year hardware warranty on double-sided flag sets. Each of our Feather Flags comes with a 3-piece heavy-duty pole, interconnected with an extra-strength bungee cord to make the assembly easy. The base of the flag pole has a specially designed steel ball bearing that will attach to the pole receiver of the ground stake (or cross base) providing a 360 degree turning radius. This unique component is key to your product's functionality and longevity.

Men and women in slinky, blue Statue of Liberty costumes wave and smile at motorists passing the busy corner of Brunswick Road and Sutton Way, advertising the recent opening of Liberty Tax Service nearby. But they're no longer flipping signs for the amusement of passing motorists. A complaint about the spectacle to Grass Valley City Hall resulted in a call to co-owner Kimberly Carroll, of Lincoln, asking that the statues ditch their signs. Sign spinners are prohibited by the city's development code — though no staff time is spent enforcing it unless someone complains, Planning Director Tom Last said this week. Little Cesar's Pizza on Freeman Lane and Verizon Wireless on West McKnight Way both use sign spinners to advertise, noted Statue of Liberty stand-in Michael Roberts, of Grass Valley. Sandwich boards are prohibited, too — but can be seen along Sutton Way, Idaho-Maryland Road, East Main Street and downtown. “All these (other) people have sandwich boards for their businesses,” Roberts added. “Why are they picking on us? I don't think it's right.” Signs — what they look like, how they're lit up and where they go — is a contentious issue in many communities, Grass Valley Planning Director Tom Last said. Downtown merchants, who face stricter standards for being in a historic district, may get some relief. Next week, the city Planning Commission will look at making the sign code more flexible there. For many merchants outside the historic district who represent a larger corporation, the city's sign ordinance sets up a tug-of-war. Sign-spinning, for example, is part of Liberty Tax's corporate marketing program, which includes lawn signs and feather flags, Carroll said. Officially, Grass Valley takes a dim view of many advertising tactics that are common in Central Valley towns. “You're trying to protect the quality of life and have signs that tie into the architecture and design (of the area), but still give (business) people the signage they need to be successful,” Last said. In practice, officials are both short-staffed — the city recently eliminated its code inspector position — and keenly aware of the struggles faced by business owners who flout the code, City Administrator Dan Holler said. “We're walking a fine line on enforcement,” Holler said. “We want to keep the city looking sharp,” but he added, “A vacant building doesn't look good, either.” 26 no-nos Prohibited signs are listed on page 151 of the city's 425-page development code, the document that governs how just about everything looks in town. (More definitions are on page 414; find the code on the city's website or by visiting www.TheUnion.com and clicking on this story.) Sandwich boards top the list of 26 signage no-nos, which also include electronic message signs, signs with flashing lights, internally illuminated signs, most billboards and flags, anything inflatable and tethered, signs attached to a vehicle parked in the public right of way and “signs held or supported by human beings,” except for the kind people might hold during a rally. As city staff has been cut due to declining sales tax revenue, other staffers have taken on the function of code enforcement, Last said. Their priority is enforcement that deals with health and safety violations, he added. Signs violating the code are dealt with as complaints come in, and the city's approach is to cajole rather than cite, Holler said. Business owners who feel they don't get enough advertising on the street can try talking to their landlords. Properties originally developed in Nevada County but later annexed into the city likely have sign programs that can be amended to offer more potential sign space for tenants, Last said. As for Carroll, she has an ace in the hole: After she had to stop the sign spinning, she planted the corner with two American flags, consistent with the corporate theme of patriotic symbols. “I figured they can't mess with me on the flags,” Carroll said with a smile.
